Solar System

The solar system is comprised of 8 planets and the sun. The sun is at the center of our solar system and the 8 planets revolve around it. The planets are, in order from the sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Pluto was a planet at one time but no longer considered a planet today. Each planet revolves around the sun in its orbit. For Earth, one time around the sun is considered a year. It takes approximately 365 days for the Earth to make one revoluntion around the sun. Planets closer to the sun take less days to complete their year. Planets farther away from the sun can take many Earth years to make one complete orbit.

My new address for my WIKI is http://solarsystem1234.pbwiki.com/

Again, I am trying to learn but it seems there is something different everytime you do something. I did highlight those words in the Wiki, and I thought I had saved it. Of course, it works when you come over. At least my tolerance is getting better. Thanks, again for all your help. Tom
Students, there are many books in our classroom concerning the Solar System. Select one book, write down the author and name of the book, read the book, and then write a summary of what you have learned. Remember, the summary should be in your own words.
